Outings pick up points vary. It is IMPORTANT that members check with the Organiser for time and location and inform the Organiser of their intentions, eg if there is an option where they will be joining the outing. If a member has a last minute change of plan they should make sure they speak to to Organiser - an answerphone message may not be picked up in time. Riviera Travel offers 10% back to any member that books a holiday through them. Members need to ask for Affinity Commission for Mepara. This MUST be done at time of booking.

Mepara Policy in Respect of Payments and Refunds (Cancellation Policy)
Payments: It is generally Mepara Policy that all bookings for activities, events, holidays etc must be paid in fully, promptly at the requested time.
Refunds: It is general Mepara Policy that no refunds will be made after booking except under circumstances detailed below
1. Holidays, etc: It is expected that members booking for any event (eg holiday etc) that extends for more than 24 hours, will take out their own travel insurance or otherwise make their own provision for cancellation, health issues, repatriation etc. Therefore Mepara will not make any refund if a cancellation is made. However, if a cancellation is made and the provider makes any refund, that amount will be returned the member. If there is an opportunity to resell the booking then the money will be refunded to the member 2. Mepara Activities, Events etc: When organising events an estimate has to be made of the likely number attending and a price determined on that assumption with an intent to break-even. Therefore, there will normally be no refunds for cancellations. However, under exceptional circumstances such as hospitalisation or serious illness, at the Committee's discretion if the event will still be profitable then a full or partial refund will be considered. If you just change your mind about attending then no refund will be made even if the event will still be profitable. This will allow Mepara to fund loss making events when, through no fault of their own, a member has had to cancel as being unable to attend. 3. Conflict of dates: If after booking a member finds themselves having a conflict of dates then all of the above will apply unless that conflict is considered to be serious and totally outside of the member's control. Examples of this could be serious illness or funeral of a partner or very close relative, funeral of a Mepara member etc. Under these circumstances, at the Committee's discretion a 50% refund will be considered regardless of whether the cancellation will leave that event in profit or loss June 2023 GDPR - Where we Stand Mepara only holds data in order to fulfil the operational necessities of the Club and does not share this data with third parties. Information we collect: Mepara holds personal data in connection with your application form in which each member consents to the use of those details for Club use only and this may be kept on a computer which is password protected or in paper format in secure locations. Specific information with regard to holidays required by tour operators will be collated and utilised in respect of each activity and will not be stored or utilised by Mepara for any other purpose. How we use your information: We may use your information to provide details, respond to and fulfil your requests for day trips, holidays and outings. How we share your information: We may share your information with other members of the Committee or Organisers of Club activities ONLY no third parties will be involved. Your choices: You can opt out of receiving Club information by contacting the Membership Secretary. Access and Correction of your information: You may access, correct and update your information by contacting the Membership Secretary. Changes to this Policy: You will be notified about any material changes to this policy by the Secretary of Mepara.
